About the author

Annette Clifford is a journalist and mother of three who lives in Satellite Beach, Florida. Her columns on family life are published each week in FLORIDA TODAY and other newspapers nationwide. Her columns have won awards from The Florida Society of Newspaper Editors and the Florida Press Club.

She took first place in the Green Eyeshade Awards for humorous commentary this year and first place for editorial writing from FSNE.

She is also the co-author of three editions of The Insiders’ Guide To Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.

Annette’s fiction appears in Microfiction: An Anthology of Really Short Stories, from W.W. Norton, Inc.  

Her stories and poems have been published in many magazines and journals.


I'll be signing books Saturday, April 17 at the Brevard Museum of Art's Transformations' exhibit opening, starting at 7 p.m. And Saturday, April 24 at the Satellite Beach Public Library at 1:30 p.m. as part of a National Poetry Month celebration. I'll also be teaching a course in creative nonfiction writing June 7-11 at Florida Tech's Creative Writing Institute.
